Evanton
Nigg Bay
Invergordon

The 3 key areas of the research are Evanton, Invergordon and Nigg Bay. These fragmented natural landscape and coastal infrastructure of Cromarty Firth is due to its industrial and military history. It gave us an opportunity to explore the potential of linking the spaces between these fragmented landscape.

The idea of linking space is to use a form of network to linkup spaces between the key research area, also to help transform and restore the fragmentation of the coastal landscape of the Firth. Using the network as a binding element to connect the woodland, wetland and intertidal habitat with the local community.

The existing coastal landscape of Cromarty Firth is dominated  by the large areas of agriculture fields, there are lack with physical connection for local community to the edge of the water, most of the water edge are vacant grassland, it gave us opportunity to rebuild the connection for people to get closer too the edge.
